I seem to be only able to do one thing at a time, draw or knit things. I think cause knitting takes me so long and I get consumed by it until I'm done (or want to give up like now, but this blanket isn't for me so I can't stop!!!) I have the biscuits recipe scanned in, but it needs to be assembled. I just draw all the parts where ever on the page until I don't have anymore space. Then I get a new page and go again....so it is certainly some assembly required.
I finally broke down and went to get myself some pants. They are 18 and last time I went to buy pants I had 22. I think its less that I actually fit into 18 and more like the shape of the pants is also my bodyshape...so they fit, where some other pants might not? again women's pants are full of stupid.
I think the best part of all of this though, is my mom saying "well just keep it up". Yes thank you I will keep making cake and eating it! I didn't actually say that to her because she is upset over her own weight (despite being thinner than me) and has food issues. BUT The only thing I'm not eating is dairy and anything with palm oil in it. I also try to avoid high fructose corn crap and make my own sweet things (mmm cake) and use honey or agave in it instead of refined sugar. (usually...)
I have been trying the oatmeal in the morning and yeah it sort of works...until I feel sick. If I eat it for dinner, that doesn't happen at all. Normally I just eat peanut butter toast with honey OR sandwich pepperoni...so it seems what my body likes for breakfast is protein. (I've also just eaten like 5 pieces of bacon and been fine for hours) I've tried those green smoothies as well but I get the same sick feeling. I usually would rather not eat then eat fruit in the morning. I don't know why, and I know I get hungry again like every single hour until I have something that isn't a fruit or vegetable if I do eat the fruit for breakfast.
so whoo learning?
The disappointing part is that for a dollar off the hot bar at work I can get 4 or 5 pieces of bacon BUT the new store I'm working at only does breakfast on the weekends. I wouldn't want to eat that much bacon anyhow, but once in a while I'd like to be able to just grab some bacon at work. I have a general rule of not making my own bacon, but with the new no hotbar breakfast store I may have to break that or risk being yelled at when my mom does BLTs for dinner and I eat all the bacon before anyone makes a sandwich.
also, my past self is telling me to not make this statement but I have to. What is up with americans and their love affair with dairy? I can hardly eat lunch off the hot bar at work (which is more expensive than breakfast so I still don't do it often when I could just bring my own food, but come on grocery store! its hard to resist forever) because everything is covered in cheese! What on we made potatoes with spices and some salt and CHEEEEESE. I love ma cow moo moo moo!
I probably wasn't even originally allergic to dairy, it was probably just the palm oil in it and at the time the largest source of palm oil was milk and yogurt I was eating.
Vitamin A Palamate (palm oil) is added to milk. It is also added to milk substitutes because originally there was an uproar about nutritional value and now almost all of them have it so they match regular milk nutritionally as much as possible. I have yet to find a milk sub. without this added to it. It is also also added to many cereals, especially for children. So my morning where I would have almond milk and cereal for breakfast resulted in wanting to cry, hating the world and feeling like I had been hit by an emo semi-truck. Vegetable shortening? palm oil (often). earth balance non-dairy buttery stuff, even soy free! palm oil.
sure its not bad for everyone but it is bad for me. I have played the back and forth game to test it out. Feed me a teaspoon of vegetable shortening that is 100% palm oil and in 2 minutes I will be an angry weepy mess. It takes me an hour to two and I mostly recover.
There was also palm oil in the peanut butter cups that I had been eating from work. Yay dairy free but then I read it again recently and not palm oil free. SO I made my own. PLUS I'm going to a friend's house where they have to be dairy, soy and gluten free and I managed to make PB cups that were exactly that!
