Holy hell this has been a time.
Not only am I in charge of my job, the lead signmaker's job AND the lead cash up's job, but there is a rival grocery store opening near by. I've been in them, its like a fancy regular store and I can't eat anything out of their bulk bins because they don't tell you what is in it. In other words It ain't no thing. BUT all of our customers are going to want to go poke around and look at it's newness anyhow.
So I worked on my day off and I'm pretty sure I worked over 60 hours this week, in order to do about two people's jobs and still get everyone else all the stuff they need to sell things. It don't get sold unless people know what the price is. Think about it, rarely will you buy anything when you can't find a price unless you desperately need it. 'Money is no object I MUST have this toothbrush!'
I always have been in charge of my schedule. So I gave myself a weekend. Everyone at work will just have to sit tight for two days and I'll deal with things when I get back. They will manage.
