Aug. 22nd, 2012 07:13 amIf I remember I'll update this later with the verdict. But I have my interview today, and I'm basically up way to early. Its not till 11, however I still have to drive into the city. I'm trying not to think too much about the interview itself. If I don't get the job I still intend to visit the lavazza coffee place and get a bag of coffee for dave. I don't have to show up at work till 2 and I miss the city. Hopefully I'll be able to drop the giant board I have to bring with in my car and then keep wandering.
I also might skip out early at work because I've been working really late each day. I like that it didn't matter how long I was there because I'm not working the rest of the week. But I know if I had to do that, or I did it all the time I would feel really burned out. I was there for 10 hours yesterday and the chalk board I drew doesn't look that great. That's what I get for working under the wire AND trying out a new lettering thing.
Word spewing here because I don't want to super spam people on twitter. Everyone seems so sure that I will get the job, but I still feel like if they don't like me I won't get it. I've been told that some of the people have someone picked out even before hand, which isn't very fair and it means I'll have to convince them they should pick me.
One of my friends who works in the seafood dept. at my old store has an interview as well. She wanted to carpool, but on top of maybe being a little awkward and I have to work afterwards. I think people think I'm nuts for working afterwards, but I'd rather be paid for as many hours as possible so I don't have to use my PTO.
and now it seems like I have a plan to hit up the ren fair on labor day. Not only is it the last day and all the places are likely to have things on sale BUT they have awesome rootbeer. Its suppose to be sassafras, but it just tastes like super spicy licorice rootbeer and it is AMAZING!
okay finally time to be doing things. gonna go hand around in traffic. whoo.
