demakatplans for the road trip are coming together more clearly now.
The most exciting thing is that I just realized that the giant aquarium is in atlanta and we will be going by there, so we are going there! They have the whale shark in there and apparently now a giant manta ray!
I'm hoping for some awesome night sky viewing action as well.
Work today was worky, much as every day is.
Its hard to want to tell people "Oh I'm sorry you didn't get the job you wanted, it will be okay" because ...I don't talk to them much anyhow. Yay I'm awkward.
uh and on top of it there was a cute guy who came through the store. He had the whole "i work in an office" attire on, but then I looked down and he was wearing well worn skater shoes. Awwwwwww. Take off the hipstery giant black glasses and everything will be fine <3
Dismayed that no one likes me because I am not thin. Its not even cause of my quirky personality, there is one girl who has at least as much quirk as I do and the guys are all over her like hey hey...how ya doin, hey. Of course it could have something to do with her going out drinking with people or whatever. whoo joy...I am left out of the loop again because I am not social IN THAT WAY.
But I'm not making up the part about being thin. No one comes to talk to me, but I leave for a second and everyone has stopped by to chat with all the thin little 20 year olds.
I will be such a bitter old person. I just want to love someone from not a distance...cause that makes me cry.
...I got a free can of soda today, and let me tell you was I talking a mile a minute. probably why I suddenly got all emo. going to knit!!!!

Date: 2012-01-27 06:41 am (UTC)I also have issues with my mental picture of myself not matching up with what I actually see. So its hard for me to think that anyone can like the way I look. The thin thing just comes into play from being in an environment where it seems to be rewarded with attention. But maybe people think things like that of me for other reasons...so I guess bad of me to judge. Still disappointing, though.
You can watch a video of the tank with the whale shark(s?) on the georgia aquarium's website, but it is sadly really small. webcam - ocean voyager I am super excited!!!! (the webcam might be off now?)
