demakatMy cake, despite starting with disaster of one of the rounds, came out okay. I have yet to master the egg white frosting. It came out...foamy this time. I don't know if I didn't beat the eggs enough or what. The ham was luke warm, kind of sad. I ate it anyhow though and it was still really good. My grandma was afraid of making it too dry, she really shouldn't have worried.
I got Despicable Me, The secret world of Arrietty, and Zelda ocarina of time for my 3ds. I have a friend who wanted to get me chrono trigger, but I told her it was probably already called (I posted a list on the fridge because everyone always asks) and it turns out no one could find it. But she recently got it herself, so she knows where to look even if its from the internet. I kind of want to try playing final fantasy stuff but I have no idea where to start with that. I should probably talk to people who actually game regularly and see what they say.
Finally cleaned off my desk. I gave up a little and started putting all of my little bits into a box. I figured once I get everything the way I want it (an not needed anything in that box probably) that I can go through it and throw out or donate stuff.
Tomorrow after I go to book club I think I'm going to waste gas and go out to the art supply store and get things to do carving with. I'm having a really hard time reading beowulf without thinking about making prints about it. I hope I can make it as epic as I see it in my head. I'm going to try a larger scale this time and see what kinds of detail I can get.
at work I still have to make a hippo, cow, chicken and the rest of two parrots. Have to paint them all as well. I hope someone remembers to save all our easter eggs from around the store. It would be nice to have those for next year.
OH! I also got a crystal growing kit in the mail from another friend along with the dr. suess book On Beyond Zebra. Both of which I had managed never to experience.
