holiday things

demakatHelped out in floral today. I got asked to make greens arrangements in these baskets. The person who runs floral thought mine were good, but I had no idea what I was really doing at all. Hooray for general design principles?
Then when I got back from things there was a plant in the office. Its a fern and it needs low light and lots of water. Other than killing plants by having too little natural light in my room, I tend to over water them. I've managed to not kill my orchid because its finally getting enough light and I forget to water it for two weeks at a time, which it seems to like.

I'm watching the muppet christmas carol around christmas! what the hellcats is wrong with me? Normally this is a movie I break out in july.
I can't believe that my job is still kicking my free time in the ass. Then the internet sucks up the rest of it.
I'm finding that no matter how much people think I'm incredibly nifty I take a long long time to warm up to them. The family my friend married into also happens to be round aboutly "related" to another friend's boyfriend. I ended up over at her boyfriend's house playing card games with everyone. They seem like nice people but I always have this scared feeling around them? Scared isn't really the right word. Interestingly the dog they brought with this time had the same reaction to me. Uncertain?
I just want to find the feeling of comfort and safety, trust. Christmas wish list.
